After a massive 4 years, my true trooper and dear companion passed away. My beloved HP nc8000 has been a super piece of equipment to me, and I was blessed and amazed about its performance and very impressive endurance. Even in the last hours it was capable of handling my massive Photoshop files and even been able to run COD4 :)
(My HP nc8000 - 1.6 Ghz Mobile proc, 2Gb RAM, 40 GB HD + 80 GB HD Multibay, Ati 9200 Pro Mobile 64 Mb dedicated)
Ok ok.. this was really bad timing, and was hoping for it to survive until June or July, thanks to some quick support on both sides of the globe (Pa & Steve from Vital), I was able to acquire quickly a new machine, and took with that a huge step forward! As of now I can try to enter the design world as a MacBook Pro user.
Equipped with a massive 250 Gb HD and 4GB RAM on Mac OSX AND Windows XPPro i've got all the best of both worlds!
Installing the MacBook with both operating systems was a breeze with BootCamp and all XP drivers packed in the box by Mac! Now who’s not afraid hey :)
Although Im familiar with Mac Os and already acquired a special interest in the OS, for now I am still setting myself up on XPPro, mainly coz I have most software for it.
Lots of new hurdles to conquer to make both worlds work the way I want or was used to, but for sure its going to be a very interesting journey!
But excuse me for a moment,.... first I have to delete "comic sans" from my new machine before I proceed :)

hoop dat je alles heb kunnen redden van je HP, en ben inderdaad ook benieuwd wat je hier allemaal weer mee gaat creëren. ik was laatst met een windows install alle mp3's kwijt op een schijf die niets met de install te maken had, 160 gb helemaal helemaal leeg en 30.000 mp3's weg. gelukkig proggie gevonden heb alles weer terug en hoefde gelukkig niet ( zoals jij een paar jaar terug alle bestands namen opnieuw terug te zetten( en daar was ik wel ff bang voor ))
blij dat je weer een nieuw apparaat heb, de specs klinken wel aardig :D

Als ie jouw faeutaeushop files aankon, dan moét het wel een goeie machine zijn geweest! :) (heb zelf de NC8430 en op de scherm-kleur-weergave na ben ik er ook very happy mee!!)
Maar een mooi excuus om over te stappen op een koeluh(!!!) Mac, hoop dat je snel OSX onder de knie krijgt. ;)

@MarcelP wow netjes, NC8340 dat moet een waardige opvolger zijn! sja die nc8000 was gewoon super, en idd ook de scherm helderheid was dan weer minder.

Nogmaals.. ook voor mijn zussie, ik haat het MISBRUIK van Comic Sans! Het lettertype opzich is daarbij gekomen later.
kwas laatst op een kickbox gala, en het programma was gemaakt.. jaja in comic sans.. pfff

Ik durf nergens meer het lettertype te gebruiken, dan denk ik de hele tijd "wat zal mijn grote broer wel niet denken" hihi
